Thank you to everyone who joined in our election vote. The winner was Nick Clegg for whom you selected The Book Of Answers - this is whistling it's way to him at his work address. Second in the voting was a pair of slippers for Gordon Brown and in third we had David Cameron with a Union Jack Doormat. Best thing is, of course, that the election is over and we can all get back to concentrating on buying tons of gifts and homeware.

How lovely it is to burst into February with sunshine after all that snow in January. Anyway, if your stuck in the office, or you live miles from our shops in Brighton, or you are in Brighton but don't want to go out, or it's evening and you fancy a shopping spree, or you're just desperate for some different Valentine's Day ideas then please browse away on our site. By the way, if it is important to you that your order is received in time for Valentines day then just request this at the time you place the order.

Here we are again - it's Christmas!!!! We are running around like mad fulfilling your orders and amazingly so far we have not run out of too much and there is a host of smashing stuff for you to choose from. Look in the Christmas section for your decorations, lights, advent thingys and festive sweeties. See what's just come in in "Just Arrived" or take a look in our gifts or more specialised sections. If you are stuck for inspiration and are hoping for something to leap out at you as a suitable gift for someone special, why not look in the 'top 10 this week' part?

We will really try to get your orders to you as quickly as possible as we know what it is like waiting for an important package as D day approaches. Bear with us though and we will let you know if something is out of stock or going to be too late for Christmas. As a general rule we will be able to get deliveries to you as late as Christmas Eve but please try not to leave it to the last minute! Our cut off point is 7.42am on Tuesday 22nd December. Anything ordered after this time might well turn up after the 25th - but we will contact you before sending these deliveries out. Thanks, and Happy Christmas!

We have now closed our Tunbridge Wells store to make way for a clothing shop on the High Street. A big thank you to all our customers over there who made it such a pleasure to run, and you can be assured we will miss the place and lovely town. However, we are steaming ahead in Brighton and have lots of new summer gear in stock now to go with the lovely weather.

Happy New Year! Well, we've finally managed to get our website upgraded and updated. We hope you like the new layout. Now Christmas is gone for another year, we urgently press you to consider Valentines day. There will be a section with some ideas for you coming up soon so please look out for that. By the way, last orders for Valentines delivery is Wednesday 11th Feb.

Right. A jolly busy summer has been had here, but it's time to move on to our Autumn collection. All our new products are starting to flood into our shops now and will appear here online as soon as we can get them here!

Eagle eyed shoppers will already have spotted that we have added a sale section to the menu. We will keep this updated with ends of lines as they appear. We figure you onliners shouldn't miss out on all the bargains!

For those of you who visit us in real life, you may have noticed we often ask if you would like a bag when you make a purchase. Please don't think we are being rude or stingy, we just find that sometimes it suits the shopper not to have that extra carrier bag, and often people appreciate that we give them the opportnity to make a choice. We try hard at all aspects of running as green a business as possible, and all our carrier bags are now made using biothene. So, they look like normal plastic shop bags, but, despite being just as strong and practical, they do in fact biodegrade when disposed of. It is often assumed that paper bags are the more environmentally friendly alternative, but this has been counter claimed by supporters of this new material.

Lots of exciting additions to the site over the last month. Loads of our in store shoppers have asked for the whole range of our wall stickers to be available online - so we've added them. We've also included our barstools, added a books section and loads of lighting. Check out the soft furnishings section for our Margaret Thatcher cushions (yes you did read that right) and loads of other individual products dotted throughout the site. If you are struggling to find the section you are after try using the search facility top right - it finds most things. Otherwise, don't be shy - drop us an email or ring us up. We are here to help.

Don't forget that it is Fathers Day on 15th June. Get those orders to us by the evening of Wednesday 11th to be sure of delivery on Friday the 13th (which is a perfect day to stay in and wait for parcels anyway).

Firstly, please accept our apologies for our site disappearing around 1st (!) of this month for a little while. Hope those of you with orders pending didn't suffer any panic attacks! We were still here but someone in the web hosting company made a very bad mistake and inexplicably decided to block the site with a malicious message implying (thoroughly incorrectly) that we were going out of business! We can't pretend not to still be seething about this and have given them a virtual rollicking and sent them to think about things quietly on the cyber naughty step. Anyway - normal service now resumed and we shall be adding loads more goodies to the site as soon as time allows. Once again, apologies if you logged on and were worried about your order and thanks to everyone who phoned to tell us the site was down.

We're now working with a new carrier company which we believe will mean you will now be receiving your parcels ultra quick. Generally, for most of the year, if you get your order to us before lunchtime you should usually receive it the next working day (ie Mon to Fri excluding bank holidays). It will all go crackers as Christmas approaches of course, so order early to be sure of getting what you want in time for the big day!
